What a terrible experience I had trying to get my husband a birthday cake...really it shouldn't be as hard as this bakery made it. It's obvious that the bakery has changed hands as the customer service as well as the product quality has changed drastically. It took me calling 3 times to finally get someone to answer the phone and take my cake order which I had to repeat 3 times due to a very obvious language barrier and then when I went and picked up the cake it was NOT what I had ordered. I called to tell them that I received a cake that I did not order or want and instead of being treated as the customer is always right, I was yelled at by the rude manager and then hung up on. When I called back I was told that I could come and get my money back but that I would have to bring the cake back...imagine after 2 slices of the cake had been removed, they actually wanted the cake back. When I brought it back, the manager didn't even have the common courtesy to come out and talk to me about it, instead he sent out the baker who told me that in spite of me ordering an all chocolate cake with fudge filling and icing, she decided to put a layer of butter cream under the fudge icing because the fudge was too hot to put directly on the cake. I have been getting this same cake twice a year for several years and now all of a sudden it has to be made with butter cream...even after I distinctly told them I did not want any butter cream. The bottom line is that their customer service skills, along with their product quality have drastically got down since these new people took over and it's a real shame because Judickie's has always been a favorite bakery of mine as well as many people both in and outside of the community...I will no longer be buying anything from them...and after all was said and done, my husband had NO birthday cake on his birthday....
