WE SPENT THE WEEKEND AT THE RAPHAEL HOTEL AND LOVED IT. IT'S WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF "OLD TOWN" AND CLOSE TO MICHIGAN AVENUE SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS. WE TOOK THE TRAIN SO PARKING WAS NOT AN ISSUE. THERE WAS A SIGN POSTED IN THE HOTAL THAT READ $40.00/24 HOUR PARKING WHICH IS QUITE EXPENSIVE EVEN FOR CHICAGO. THE ROOM WAS COMFORTABLE SIZE WITH TWO DOUBLE BEDS AND INCLUDED A COFFEE MAKER AND MICROWAVE. THE BATHROOM WAS DIFFERENT - THERE IS NO SHOWER DOOR, SO THE FLOOR DID GET A LITTLE WET. THERE IS ALSO A SHELF BUILT ABOVE THE SINK WHICH MAKES IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE THE SINK FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN WASHING YOUR HANDS. ALL IN ALL, WE WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
