Businiess name:  Sparkle Car Wash
Review by:  Kristen L.
Review content:
AVOID this car wash. Not only is the service consistently poor, but the handling of a recent incident was extremely disappointing. Service: First time in, I ordered the top of the line wash for my filthy car and requested vacuuming for interior and trunk. The wash was average (at best), the staff barely dried the car off, and I discovered later that the trunk was not even vacuumed. I only went a 2nd time because they are truly the only game in town. This time, I specifically mentioned the vacuuming. When my car came out, my passenger side view mirror ($600 to repair) was dangling. Not only did they claim that they were not responsible, the manager, Jim (who looked like former bouncer turned car wash manager) ordered me off the property and "threatened" to call the police. I suppose vehicles damaged by their process are bad for business. I suspect one of their employees must have bent the mirror the wrong way and broken it off. I'm not sure, but I did notice that it took an unusually long time to get from the hand off point to inside the car wash area. My insurance company is investigating further and I am spreading the word locally about the poor service. Interestingly, MANY have confirmed that they really do a poor job and admitted to only using them because there are no other options close by. My advice: 1) drive out of your way to avoid this place 2) Encourage someone else to open a car wash nearby. The poor service at Sparkle in Newtown is enough to support another car wash business.
