My husband and I were looking for a place to file our taxes and, based on an acquaintance's referral, went to 1 Day Tax Service. The customer service was absolutely horrible! When we told them we didn't have our social security cards with us (apparently it's required to file), the owner asked if we could fax them a copy of the cards. We expressed our concern about faxing this information to them and said that we could hand deliver a copy at a later time. The owner took offense to the suggestion and argued that his fax machine was very secure. Then, in front of his employees and a couple of customers, he yelled at us repeatedly to leave the building! "Fine. I am refusing to service you! Please go! Have a nice day." We were so shocked (my mouth was literally hanging open), I couldn't think of a smart comeback. I was embarrassed at being treated so poorly, and appalled by his lack of professionalism. He could have simply stated, "I'm sorry, but if you are unwilling to fax us the information, we cannot file your taxes." Instead, he chose to create a scene in front of everyone! Do NOT take your taxes to 1 Day Tax Service. They are rude and unprofessional!
