Review content:
If my waistline and my wallet could afford it, I'd eat dessert here five nights a week. The Ice Cream Crank offers store-made ice cream in a wide variety of flavors, including a selection of seasonal flavors (pumpkin pie ice cream, anyone?). It's another one of those local businesses that makes me proud to call Blacksburg home -- I would never go back to the chain ice cream places after visiting here.
The store offers ice cream in plain, sugar, and fresh-baked waffle cones, and they offer shakes (cheaper than McD's, and far better) and basic sundaes as well (sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry on top) in cups or waffle bowls. There is limited seating -- only four small, round tables, and not enough chairs -- and I could wish for an expanded menu of sundaes (they really need to offer banana splits). But for ice cream basics, the Ice Cream Crank leaves nothing wanting.
