Review content:
I went to the new restaurant/dessert bar Coco La Ti Da on Capital Hill last night and was very pleased. They have a very reasonable happy hour from 5:30-7 which allows you to sample many of the savory bites. My favorites were the dips (white bean, beet, sweet potato and pesto) served with salted pita bread and the candied pork mini-sandwiches. For dessert we finished up with the chocolate fondue which was accompanied by chocolate eggrolls (who doesn't like fried chocolate) and a variety of dippable treats. The owner Sue McCown has a lengthy resume as a pastry chef at many of the well known Seattle establishments including the W, Campagne and the Painted table (alexis hotel). The restaurant is open late night as well and offers a lot of fun cocktails so would be a great spot for after dinner dessert and drinks. I highly recommend a visit!
