I just came back from a mini-vacation in New York City and I had an awesome experience renting a car with Pam Rent A Car in JFK Airport New York. Instead of reserving online, as I usually do, I called their 800 number 1-800-894-6102, was quoted a very attractive price, and I booked it. When I arrived at their JFK (Kennedy Airport New York)offsite location in the Holiday Inn Hotel JFK Airport, I was greeted by Dexter Peirre. In conversation, I mentioned that I work for an Insurance company. I was pleasantly surprised that Dexter did not try and sell me CDW, and more pleasantly surprised when he upgraded me at no additional charge. He was courteous and got me out of there in less than 10 minutes. Upon returning the vehicle, I was met by Josh Ortin. I advised Josh that I was concerned with the "hold" that sometimes stays on my credit card when I rent. He immediately got me a printout showing that the balance from the hold, was reapplied to my card...and I was in and out of there, and on the shuttle to the airport, in again, less than 10 minutes. My next trip to New York I will definitely use Pam Rent A Car again!
