I prefer to utilize businesses in my own town and had gotten a recommendation from a friend to go to this dentist. My family and I went to him for several years (between 2001 and 2005) and saw that he was quick in taking care of patients but then realized he was careless as well. I had to have 2 teeth extracted, something I thought an oral surgeon should do,but he said he could take care of it for me and save me some $$. I was in the chair from 8:10 until 11:30 for 2 teeth. He kept giving me Novocaine, 3 or 4 shots, and I was still feeling pain when he tried to get the teeth out. He kept telling me I was feeling pressure, and it was not pressure, it was definitely pain. I found out later that he uses that line on a lot of his patients. By 11 a.m., he finally decided to use a "block" (can't remember the exact terminology) and within minutes, he got the teeth out (but not without breaking them up to get them out). I had shards of the teeth coming thru my gums for months after that. My kids did not care for him and I was starting to question his professionalism when he had hurt my daughter on two occasions because he was careless. I also did not care for the way he spoke to my kids, they deserve respect too, and no patient should be talked down to. The final straw at this office was when a mouse was seen near the receptionist's desk. I never went back after that. We now go to a dentist in Wheaton and he's wonderful.
