This beer(ale) is something else! I may have never known if it wasn't for that bartender taking matters into his own hands! It's Holidaze time and the shopping and cooking is under way.Ginzo has just watched another hilarious New England Patriots football game and I'm settling down to my review with my fourth Newcastle Brown Ale almost polished off. I decided even though I don't have the specs on this ale,I sure know a great beer when I taste one. So,I will speak from my taste buds and you can go read one of the other fine reviews for the processing jumbo mumbo.(burp)
It all started last weekend when the band was playing at a club in Cambridge(mass.). We each got two free drink tickets good for that night at the club. I approached the bartender and handed him my ticket. I don't know why (well, maybe I do now!) but he opened me a bottle of this brown stuff called Newcastle Brown ale in a clear bottle(what's up with that!). Well, he seemed like a nice fellow so I decided to let him have his way with me (not like my girl). Well,well! What do we have here! A new beer for ginzo to foam at the mouth over!(another buuurp)
O.k., the beer(ale),developed by Colonel Jim Porter in Newcastle, Tyne,England and first brewed in 1927 this stuff is so smooth and tasty and has a light brown color to it from the brown sugar used in the processing. For those of you that don't know,brown sugar is made up of sugar and molasses. This is what I would guess what gives this beer the right blend of sweetness. There is just a hint of bitter to this beer and no strong after taste as you would find in many of the brown or dark ales similar to this.
I have been enjoying and preferbing,pre,pre,preeefering this beer cold (hic)all night and I think it's the best way to enjoy it. It goes down easy and sits easy in the tummy. They recommend it coooool.(hic) On the label they boast "The one and only" and jinzo(hic)agrees. I can not wait to turn my barfly friends on to this one! I hope I've (hic) helped you,too! Now someone help me off this floor(kidd'n). Good stuff! habby holidaze everyone!! (buuuurrp) More turkey and another Newcastle please!!
