When it became my duty to plan my organization's 10th anniversary dinner, I chose the Waterfront Seafood Grill. It was a fantastic evening. To start, this is one of the most elegant locations in all of Seattle. The restaurant is built right on Pier 70 so the views are incredible no matter what time of day or night. The WSG takes advantage of the views with an expansive deck that runs the length of the pier. We staged our program out on the deck and continued inside for our meal. And it was quite the dining experience. We had a Scallop and Halibut combo that got raves. For the vegetarians they did a veggie vol-au-vent which was one of the best veggie options I have sampled. For dessert, there was a trio of heavenly bites. The Waterfront also has several special touches, like live piano music and an extra bar outside at no extra cost, which really added to our event. But most importantly, the service was a cut above. Corine, the private dining manager, was wonderful to work with. I could tell she actually cared about the success of our event and had really helpful suggestions all along the way. On the big night, the service was also fantastic. I had so much help with setup and each guest was treated with respect and I barely had to lift a finger all night. I've done lots of events at lots of venues and this one has earned my highest recommendation. The food and beverage minimums can be high, but if you look at their regular menu you'll see why. It is not your average catering for your average event. They offer excellence and you get every single cent's worth.
