Businiess name:  Local 506

Review content:
Local 506 is an established venue in Chapel Hill for local and national acts, and especially since the demise of Go! Room 4, they’ve begun to play Chicago to The Cat’s Cradle’s New York, drawing solid, well-known, but slightly smaller acts that might not be able to fill Chapel Hill’s most famous venue. The space is nice: the stage is high, so all but the shortest patrons should be able to see at least a little, even from the back. The drinks are about what you’d expect from a rock club: not outrageous, but not local dive bar cheap. Two things that can be frustrating: parking in Chapel-Hill/Carborro is always frustrating at best, so be prepared for at least the possibility of a hike from your parking space to the front door (and if you park illegally, get ready for a ticket); and Local 506’s member/guest policy. Call or check the website about it before you buy tickets to a show; they are serious and inflexible about this rule.
