I finally talked my husband into changing his phone service by adding another phone on for me. I don't work outside the home or drive and he really didn't feel the need to add another expense to our tight budget. However, I fell a couple years ago after dislocating my knee and broke both legs. I was home alone and needless to say, I couldn't get to the phone. About an hour later luckily, he came home to find me in this predicament. Still, he didn't feel another cell phone was necessary.
Anyhow, I'm rambling and wanted to tell you my thoughts on T-Mobile. This is the company he had his cell phone with and it was just easier to check them out first. His phone was ten years old and we didn't get reception everywhere. The gentleman at the wireless store told us that we didn't get great reception because of the phone being so old. He gave us the prices of two phones and the cheapest plan. Well, we went from $25.00 a month to $70.00 a month just so I could feel safer. I thought I'd just keep my cell phone in my pocket and that way I'd have a way to communicate an emergency.
We received our "free after rebate" phones and went home to figure out how to use them. The next day we discover that the phones do not work inside the house! Well, that was the whole idea duh. We live in a big city, why isn't there service inside the house? We check out a few other providers and they cost a lot more than $70.00 a month for two phones so canceling T-Mobile really isn't an option.
We have never had a problem with T-Mobile and I really can't fault anything about the company but why oh why can't we get service inside the house? The phones work in the stores we have been in, it works in the car, everywhere but in the house where I really need it. The service rep wasn't much help. Just explained that it must be the towers and my location. Well, it works outside, across the street in the stores, but not in the house.
Modern technology is great, but only if it works. I can't wait until wireless service is perfected.
