Update: On November 6, 2006, Wrought Iron Forge and walter vasquez was found guilty and responsibile in the Los Angeles Superior court of taking our money and not providing services. Mr. Vasquez acknowledged responsibility and the court allowed him a payment plan. He has not participated and paid us at all. The court has been notified and steps are now being taken to force him to identify his assets and/or have the Sherriffs forcefully take his assets to repay this debt. wrought Iron forge and it's owner walter vasquez took a substantial deposit from us and never did the work. He kept claiming "creative block" but truthfully he ran from the job. He did install an exterior railing but forgot to seal it causing massive rust. He also had been hired to work on our metal fireplace. He took it home, must have left it in the rain and when we demanded he return it he left it sheepishly by the side of the house - claiming "no one was home." the entire custom fireplace is rusted and ruined. we sent letters, faxes, emails and certified mail to him demanding our money and the cost to repair the items he damaged. He has yet to return our $3500 deposit or taken responsibility for the damage. We are taking him to small claims court. criminal.
