I've known about the Market Basket for a couple of years and have never taken the time to visit the store. Big mistake. Located in upscale Franklin Lakes, NJ the store is simply packed with all kinds of stuff that would make any foodie happy to go there. I nibbled my way through sample after sample in each section of the shop including the bakery, delicatessen, produce, seafoods, salads and grocery. This isn't a full scale grocery store but more like a specialty shop. Visit here for gourmet sandwiches, prepared dishes, butcher shop meats and poultry, yummy baked goods and seafood delights. Specialty orders seem to be a popular thing here and I noticed many people picking up prepared platters, meat orders and bakery items that they'd obviously called ahead for. The aisles in the store are small as they seem to maximize every available space to tempt shoppers. This place is busy, busy, busy so'll you have to negotiate the aisles carefully to avoid collision with your shopping cart and fellow shoppers. The store seems to value customers and service (which are reflected in the prices). However, quality was exceptionally high and that's a good thing. Plenty of parking! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
