Review content:
Big Lots is a great store to check out for inexpensive seasonal decorations. Big Lots has it all, from clothing and furniture, picture frames and gift wrap, electronics and bedding, personal care items and kitchen ware. They even have food and so much more. Everything is priced at great discounts.
When I host a party where I serve a buffet style dinner, I like to have the utensils in cute, seasonal mugs so that my guests can easily grab what they need. It’s easy to find ceramic bowls, mugs or other kinds of “receptacles” for dressing up your buffet table.
For Bunco, I put a bowl of candy at each of the 3 tables. Last year when I hosted in October, I found a darling ghost shaped dish, a bat shaped dish and a pumpkin shaped dish for setting out candy. It looked great, but didn’t break the bank. My kids loved having these fun dishes around after the party, although they didn’t stay filled with candy for very long!
Big Lots is also a great resource for paper plates, cups and napkins. Check the food section. They usually have cocktail peanuts, or cashews, as well as drinks and many other items you might find useful for your party.
The great think about Big Lots is that you don’t have to spend a lot to get cute, seasonal décor for your home and many other things you didn’t even know you needed.
