Review content:
My wife, my two sons and I went to this restaurant a few months ago -since we had received a $100 coupon through Comcast- and expected to see at least one true French speaking individual in this so-called "French Restaurant"...to no avail. No, the owner isn't French, the waiter/waitress isn't French, the hostess isn't French and there's no French chef. However, since I'm fairly easy going, I would let all of this non-Frenchness go if it weren't for the food, which wasn't true French either. Now, I have lived in France for over 7 years and kind of have an idea of what true French food ought to be like...whether the "nouvelle cuisine" or other! Unfortunately, the service was horrible too!
To make this story short, it really bugs me when a restaurant tries to be something that it isn't - and then capitalize on it! For example, I have never been in a Chinese restaurant where the owner and cook are not Chinese or of Chinese descent! I don't want to seem pretentious but when I go to a French, Italian, Chinese et al. restaurant, I am paying for an "experience." Otherwise, I might as well go to "Red Robbin" and eat good American food. But restaurant owners shouldn't try to portrait an experience on their clients that they are unable to and then charge them twice the price for that lie. That's dishonest and unethical!
