If you want a cab from this company(American Taxi, Chgo)*, give extra time. Two separate incidents here. First, planned a cab for an interview on one of the hottest days of the year. I asked that the air conditioning was on very cool prior to pick up. When the cab arrived it was 15 minutes late and actually cooler outside than in. The plastic shield between front and back of car blocked all air. Second incident, I called for a cab 1/2 hr before I needed to leave for work on a very rainy night. I was told that if I wanted to reserve that I'd have to call at least one hour before pick up. If I wanted one now, they could give me a time frame of 10-30 minutes. So I called another cab service and they were at my door at exactly 10:30 as need. Thank God for options.
