When I lived in Windsor, ON I used to fly NWA out of Detroit-Metro Wayne Airport ( http://www.judysbook.com/members/11971/posts/2006/10/467026/ ) and flew NWA because they had good rates on non-stop flights from MI to FL (DTW is one of NWA's hubs) and even better rates if you took one connection. I haven't flown since their brush with Chapter 11, but the last time I flew it was always a pleasant experience. I was even lucky that I don't recall ever being on a delayed flight. There was one time where the connecting flight I was waiting on was delayed when I needed to go back to MI so they put me on a different flight so I could make it to MI on time. (Scared the crap out of me because I had never had my name announced over the PA system! LOL) Overall, I've been happy flying with NWA; my sister and her family continue to fly NWA when they visit us here. Sometimes it's a good experience, other times it isn't, but I guess you can't be perfect all the time.
