My family went to check out Coldstone a few weeks ago. This is the first location to open anywhere near us. We went on a Saturday and they were very busy. We had to wait in line for like a half hour. Not very fun with a 2 year old. They have a large menu to choose from. If you don't want ice cream, they have a good selection of shakes or smoothies. You can get pre-thought out ice cream treats, like the german chocolate cake, or you can pick your own ice cream flavor and then pick the mix ins. Each extra mix in costs 50 cents. They also have a new kids ice cream where they get a small dish with one mix in for $2.50, much less than regular price.
We enjoyed our treats, but I don't know if I liked it as much as I expected. I have heard a lot of hype about Coldstone, and I don't know if it lived up to that. For one thing, I don't think they had the ice cream cold enough, because by the time they mashed it, it was getting melted already.
This is a nice location though, since it is new, it is very clean and nice. We might go back some time when it is not so busy.
