I was looking for a reasonably priced moving company when I left my apt. at the beginning of Sept. I searched the web and several companies offered to come to my apt. and look at what I had to give me a very accurate price. Honestly, I found this to be annoying. I really don't want to let random strangers into my home to look at my belongings and then I end up not using their company.
However, after not too much searching, I found Ben Hur Moving. They are based out of the Bronx and provide every moving service from basic just load the truck, to packing everything for you, and storage. I only moved 20 blocks down town, so my bill was about $400 (VERY reasonable considering some companies started at $1000!!). The draw back is that they were about 40 min. late. Moving is stressful as it is, so being punctual would have given them a perfect review. But, customer service is great and you can fill out the contract/pay all online.
