Businiess name:  Sushi Maru

Review content:
By far, this place is the best sushi restaurant I know. The environment is great, the staff are friendly, and the sushi are so fresh, I'd swear they just got the shipment for the ingredients right out of the ocean bottom just an hour ago. The menu (even though I haven't really eaten every single item listed) is pretty average. The bento boxes are pretty standard in taste. The Salmon Teriyaki is pretty good though. Where this restaurant shine is the sushi (which is the very reason, I believe, we all go to a SUSHI restaurant). It's fresh, tasty, and some are even very artistic. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar so you can see what they have to offer. The bar is always brimming pack with sushi and they are all fresh because they keep replacing them and clients, like myself, keep on picking them up. Mind you, the bar will be different because, instead of the common boat where the sushi is place and water flowing moving the sushi along, there is a futuristic-like moving platform moving the sushi which are on plates covered by a plastic cover (kind of like a spaceship if you will). It's weird at first, but the sushi is so exquisite, you won't mind at all (I think the plastic cover is the keep the sushi extra fresh). The price of the place isn't too bad. Sushi restaurant in general has always been quite expensive so the price here isn't too surprising but I still believe this place is better than other places and quite worth the price for this place in my opinion. The staff are extremely friendly but the restaurant is quite understaff at times. And the restaurant is kind of small, which is especially noticeable when it gets busy. Other than that, there are no complaints here really. Located in Japantown, Downtown San Jose (which is about a three block radius so be careful when you're looking for it, you might miss it when you're driving by; which I did a couple of times), Sushi Maru is a great place for all your sushi needs. *Ask for an order of Kari Inari (I'm not too sure about that spelling). It's crab meat and rice wrapped in sweet tofu and topped off with chives and fish egg. I never leave this place satisfied unless I had at least one order of it. ^_^
