Review content:
Nice menu, but the mixed dishes, while tasty and plentiful, tend to be "blurry"--on the order of a goulash or stew. Bread is hot and tasty, salads are fresh, albeit skimpy. The bill of fare is somewhat pricey. Wait staff who have served us, while not what we regard as truly professional, are nonetheless cheery, competent and attentive. And THAT counts for a lot in our book. Service is prompt. Drinks and wine are good, but, again, somewhat pricey. We live in Alameda now, formerly Oakland/Rockridge, and we've been there several times before operas at Lesher Center, and usually have friends with us...although we must warn them in advance to take earplugs to dinner. The place is dreadfully loud, especially for anyone with hearing aids or impairments. My respectful advice to Montecatini management is to hang some draperies and/or tapestries.
