Well, I hope I don't jinx myself by saying that I have found the best hairstylist ever...but I really think I have found her! I had been going to the same stylist for about 10 years (The Green Door in Plaza Frontenac and then followed him around Clayton for a bit) until his prices went through the roof and he often "rushed" me since we were "friends." I ended up going to see Brittany Shreves at BeautyFirst in Chesterfield. (There are two Brittany's so specify the last name!) The first time I went, I brought a picture of a style that was VERY different from what I had. She gave me a couple ideas of changing a few things that would better suit my hair type, and I went out looking (and feeling) like a million bucks. It was dramatically different but the cut was awesome and I got so many compliments I wondered why didn't I make a change sooner! The second visit, I got a cut and a partial hi-light. I was very pleased with both. My old stylist never discussed trying anything new and Brittany always asks me first where I want to go with my hair and color. She suggests different things and I feel that I am now "out of my rut." I see Brittany about every eight weeks or so and now my daughter is going to Brittany as well for her hair cuts and hi-lights. I also buy my products at BeautyFirst (although there is zero pressure to purchase anything from Brittany) and if you purchase a gold card ($15.00 per year) you get a 20% discount on all products (not hair cuts, color, etc..) on the first Tuesday of every month. I've used this discount to purchase everything from a Chi Flat Iron, to shampoo, to my OPI nail color. The discount adds up quickly. Also, if you have a gold card, twice a year they send you coupons for $20 off hair color/hi-lights, spa services, and additional coupons for even more off products during certain dates. It has been worth it. I think you will be very pleased with BeautyFirst-the salon and the store!
