Review content:
We went to Elkton Diner the other day for breakfast. We are still fairly new to Elkton so this is the first restaurant we have gone to for breakfast in the area. We like diners and mom/pop type places so we thought we would really enjoy this place.
I had the breakfast special that included 3 french toast, bacon or sausage, and coffee. I chose sausage with my french toast. My meal was excellent. The french toast were thick, perfectly crispy and served with a side of whipped butter. I like the fact that coffee or tea is included with the breakfast specials.
My husband ordered biscuits and gravy(with hash browns) and a side of bacon. The good thing was they gave him about 5 pieces of bacon that were very good. The bad thing was that we both disliked the biscuits, gravy, and potatoes. It put a damper on the meal since it was so gross.
Service was very good. The whole place did smell like cigarettes even though we were in the non smoking section. I guess that is normal for a diner.
Overall the meal was a very good value. We probably won't go back there, we'll keep on trying new places.
