When we travel to Alexandria, LA to bring our oldest dd to swim competitions, we stayed at the Days Inn. The experience was comparable to that of the high priced hotels and motels, yet was cheap enough to afford to bring our whole family. With the coupon we downloaded off of the internet, the price was only 47.00 for the four of us to stay in the room. Each room offers a microwave and a refrigerator, free coffee, cable tv, and hairdryers. Some people may not look on these commodities as much, but when it's the middle of winter and you don't want sick kids, that hair dryer really came into good use. The coffee pot was a hot item with my dh because he didn't have to venture out into the cold to find the lobby for his morning cup of coffee. Also the Days Inn offers a free continental breakfast to all the guests. The employees, from the desk clerk to the guy doing maintenance were very friendly and helpful to our lost souls in the middle of a strange city. I highly recommend the Days Inn of Alexandria for anyone looking for a comfortable room at a reasonable price. thanks, stephanie
