I fought my husband on getting satellite tv for a few years I just did not want the hassle or another bill. However starting June 1, 2006 Dish Network has new prices their lowest package is just $19.99 and it includes quite a few channels. So I went for it knowing that I had 30 days to cancel if needed. I was worried about the loss of signal during storms, however my concerns were unnecessary. Even during a really heavy storm we only lost signal for about 5 minutes. I ended up upgrade from the basic package to a package that included Animal Planet and a few other channels my husband just couldn't live without. I have had no problems with my equipment or billing, unlike Time Warner Cable where I had equipment trouble, billing errors, and horrible customer service. I would recommend Dish Network to anyone considering satellite instead of cable.
