Businiess name:  Parea Wine Bar
Review by:  Nicole T.
Review content:
This is in response to Alice W.'s review of Paréa Wine Bar and Café that just opened in the Mission. My husband and I are the owners, and after putting a ton of effort and many long hours into getting our establishment up and running, we were very sad to see a "disappointing" rating, especially since Alice W. did not seem to find anything wrong with our place aside from our being out of a few menu items and the wines being "overpriced." In response to the lack of menu items, we shop daily for fresh, organic ingredients, and we would rather provide fewer options to our guests if we happen to run out of product rather than having a lot of excess food on hand that might spoil. We are a wine bar; hence, we try to offer tasty menu items to accompany our wine, but we are NOT a full scale restaurant with a ton of menu items to choose from. In response to our wines being "overpriced," I would love for Alice W. to provide everyone with a list of more economic wine bars in the city. We offer 6 oz. (1-2 oz. more than the majority of bars and restaurants in the city) glasses of wine starting at $5 a glass. We also offer 3 oz. tasters of all of our wines by the glass. We hand select every single wine on our list and write our own tasting notes, thus providing the customers with the best quality boutique-style wines for the price. It is unfortunate that poor reviews like the one from Alice W. can totally sway potential customers from even giving us a chance. I hope that everyone reading her review takes it with a grain of salt. We hope anyone reading this gives our place a try, and if for some reason, any reason, you are not totally satisfied, you bring it to my or my husband's attention so we can remedy the situation before you tell the whole city you had a "disappointing" experience.
