Review content:
JD's is a bustling place at lunchtime, probably because of the massive menu selection for a place of it's size, and for the good home-cooked soups and bisque. They take your name and your order, you pay, and you get a receipt. Then you wait for your name to be called. The wait for your name can be a tedious one if you've decided on a hot sandwich such as the meatball sub. Especially if you are the only one in your party who has ordered a hot selection. Your crew may be done by the time you get yours. And some of the other patrons get a little testy, possibly enough to try to take whatever the next sandwich that comes up, whether they just called "Shirley" or "Rob". The sandwiches are tasty here, so if you do decide you want a hot meal, either order by phone and then get it, or else hunker down for a wait.
