Review content:
We went on vacation and I forgot my medicine. I felt like a doofus, but this has happened before and I've been able to go to a pharmacy and they've given me a couple of pills just to get me through till I could get home. I take medication for my thryoid as I had to have it ablated a few years ago, it is not a controlled substance so the parmacists are usually totally cool about it. I went into the pharmacy to ask about it, and after waiting for quite a while, she said I would have to transfer the whole prescription to her pharmacy. I asked if maybe they would be able to call the doctor and just get a partial prescription. She said yes but that they wouldn't call, the doctor would have to call them. I went clear back to the hotel to get my phone and called my doctor. Then I tried to call the pharmacy to see if it was taken care of and their phone was hooked up to an answering machine that everyone who called had to leave a message on for call back, including the doctor. I thought this was silly because they were going to end up having to call the doc in the end anyway! I went back and they had finally gotten it but I had to wait for about 30 minutes to finally get my script filled. Very slow and hard to work with!!
