Businiess name:  Bird Bar & Grill
Review by:  Paula R.
Review content:
The Bird Bar & Grill is a Mt. Pleasant staple. It's been owned by the same family for over 50 years, and as generations of the Breidenstein family have grown up with the Bird, many generations ofMt. Pleasant residents, whether townies or college students have too. The Bird is a great place to go either for lunch downtown, or a night out with friends for drinks. They offer an excellent burger, called the Bird Burger, and it's secret is the cole slaw. I know, sounds strange, but don't know it til you try it. Also, you may also order from the menu at Steiner's Pizza Planet, as it is right next door, and the two share a kitchen. It does get really busy during the CMU school year, particularly happy hour on Thursday evenings. And it does become very smoky, but that's par for the course in a bar. The bartenders/wait staff are all extremely friendly, and you just feel at home when you're there. I would definitely recommend the Bird for a night out.
