Businiess name:  Zeldas Original Gourmet Pizza
Review by:  Dave H.
Review content:
I moved to Sacramento a few months ago and heard about this pizza place nearby in Midtown, well I love pizza so I thought I'd check it out. It is phenomenal!! It's deep-dish/Chicago style (I've read reviews around the web that speak of Zelda's origins--apparently years ago Zelda was a pizza apprentice in a well known joint back in Chicago) and the crust is the most unique I've ever had; it's very similar to a pie crust, very thin but firm, and it is not affected by the toppings on the pizza (even the Veggie with all it's moisture cannot sog this pie!) The locale fits perfectly--black ceiling, large booths with lots of wood, and a few very stern waitresses (too stern for some, but I actually enjoy it). The pizza is not cheap, but a medium supreme will feed three hungry people. Budweiser is the only beer on-tap, and it's only $7 per large pitcher... makes the pizza taste that much better. Also, it can be tough getting in on Friday/Saturday nights so order your pie before you leave home...it's actually best to do that anyways since even on slow nights it will take about 30 minutes for your pizza to make it to your table.
