I've been returning to Salon Shag for two years. The receptionist offers a warm welcome and if you're in for a wait (usually not long if you've made an appointment), they provide you with reading material and refreshments (coffee, tea or water). There are plenty of stylists that cater to a primarily Asian community, so the major dialects spoken are Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Prices vary depending on the type of service you request, and you can always call ahead to inquire about charges. But like most salons, the fees are mid-range but totally affordable if you're looking to get some great style.
I was rather lucky to stumble across Jobie who mixes the conventional and not so conventional when it comes to styling. Every time I leave the salon with a new style/cut, I get rave reviews and compliments. Oh, and he always provides great hints and tips. I've gladly recommended this salon to friends, family and co-workers.
