If you know of some company that through unscrupulous or deceptive means aggrieves members of our society, please do us all a favor and complain! The BBB supposedly doesn't take sides, and though it probably doesn't want to annoy their corporate sponsors ("The Bureau's primary source of funding comes from the annual dues paid by its member businesses." http://www.thebbb.org/aboutmain.htm ), it does keep records of complaints. "The Better Business Bureau is a non-profit organization funded by BBB member companies. The mission of the BBB is to promote the highest ethical marketplace relationships through self-regulation, education and information. Every day the BBB receives more than 6,500 inquiries through our website and phone lines." http://www.thebbb.org/release.html?value=308 They also boast helping law-enforcement agencies when the occasion arises.
