I purchased a beautiful sectional for my home from Bassett Furniture Direct approx. 2 1/2 years ago for a room in my home that is seldom used. Within months the seams frayed and it looked like a piece of junk. I called the service department and they replaced all of the covers no problem. The same thing happened again with the new covers. Come to find out the stitching was never surged so as soon as you sit on it a few times it frays again. This time I called and they told me that it's too bad and that the store is only responsible for the first year. She said that the manufacturer wouldn't even cover it the first time and that the store had to so it was my responsibility this time. I paid over $2,000 after a 45% discount coupon. It really doesn't matter the cost at this point because even if it were a $500 sofa I would expect it to last longer than that!! The bottom line is I not only received garbage furniture I was treated very rudely!!
