Businiess name:  Bennigan's

I really hate to give this restaurant a two-star rating since it offers great service, a fun ambiance, and affordable eats, but I have to do so. The food here is just not that great. Now the others in my party recently liked what they ordered (all of us for take-out), but I was very disappointed with my selection, a "Philly Cheesesteak" burger with "Irish Haystack" onion rings instead of seasoned fries. The burger was flavorless. The meat was overcooked. The mushrooms and green peppers promised in the menu were in short supply. There was clearly a lack of cheese on this burger. The Irish Haystack onion rings were like eating oil. They were edible, but the flavor was lost because of too much grease. The onion rings also were not crunchy. They were thin, unlike onion rings at Burger King. (Though this the waitress advised me of.) Well, I guess if you are on the road Bennigan's is a decent choice. I might come back if I'm in the area. Monday's special is any Monte Cristo deep fried sandwich for $4.99 (or $3.99, I can't remember) and Wednesday's special is any burger except the Big Irish one-pounder for $4.99. If you get coupons in the mail, this place can be cheaper than eating fast food. Location? Right off exit four on the Turnpike.
