Want a piece of the "Godfather?" Visit Hector's. It features high tin-plate ceilings and the bar at the front of the dining room is long and dark. Candle lit wine bottles in the center of the table take ya right back to the 70s. Little Italy still live in Erie when you visit Hector's. If you love Italian, you will love this menu. If you order a burger, you're missing out on the good stuff. Hector's page of "Pasta and Homemades" is the place the be. If you don't like sweet sauce then this place is perfect for you. The sauce is pure, so you'll want to add your own salt, Parmesan, and pepper if you want. The gnocchi is homemade and fabulous. The half-portion is enough for most, so if you order the full-size, count on taking home leftovers. To see the true side of Hector's visit at dinner. Their dinner menu boasts Rigatoni, stuffed with red pepper and blended cheeses. Talk about delightful. Served with bread and a salad, it makes more than a meal. The shells, broccoli, and garlic were huge, and the garlic will more than clean out your sinuses. If you are an antipasto fan, you came to the right place. They do it right here -- and not skimpy in the least. You like lasagna? Order it. Reasonable is the word for their pricing. Some Tramezzino, or sandwiches, weigh in as cheap as $4 -- that's for a loaded half loaf of Italian bread, complete with fries -- not too shabby. Antipasto starts at $5 and ranged to $11 for an enormous platter that can fill a dozen hungry people. The pasta starts at $5 for a half order and goes up from there. Meatballs and sauceare extra. Italian specialty dinners start at $7 for the stuffed peppers and half orders of stuffed-cheese shells florentine or manicotti. On the high end, you'll pay $12 for peppered chicken tortellini.
