After a long anticipated wait, the Hy-Vee nearest to our house has finally opened. The other Hy-Vee is probably 6-7 miles away so we never shop there unless they have coupon deals. Since it's brand new, this Hy-Vee seems state of the art. It's awesome - everything is totally wide open and has lots of sky lights. I've always thought their meat department was awesome because they showcase everything and have a wide variety even though it may be a little pricey. Whether in this town or any other town, check out the Hy-Vee meat department. One more thing, their cafeteria area has awesome Italian food, Chinese food, and on weekends, sometimes they run specials on fresh cooked breakfast.
