Review content:
Sit N Chat has had loyal local patrons for years and years. However, many of these patrons have decided, in good conscience, to spend their time and hard-earned dollars elsewhere as a result of this cafe's new management. One of the best features of Sit N Chat was its friendly, hard-working waitresses. Women who have served faithfully at this establishment for up to 23 years and who made going to this local eatery feel like a visit with friends. Each of these wonderful women were fired by the new management in a cowardly manner, for falsely concocted reasons and after weeks of verbal and psychological abuse. Most of these waitresses, all of whom have consistently demonstrated a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness in their work, are older women. Is the new management ageist? Many patrons have personally witnessed the disgruntled cook's verbal abuse spat at these kind elderly women. One local, a NYC fireman, was seen barely containing his anger as he and a young child were subjected to the cook's horrible language and disrespect. Are these the type of people you want / trust to prepare your food? Is this the type of operation you want to support? You decide, but I, for one, will take my vote and my dollars elsewhere...to an establishment where the management understands what it is to be part of a community like Monroe, where there is respect for its employees and where I can trust that that same respect is being applied to the preparation of my and my family's food.
