Review content:
I had been a customer to this store for the last couple of months because it is the closest grocery store to my house, and it also has some very good deals. However, my last visit there made me never want to go back. I was standing in line, when a gentleman was trying to buy a container of juice for a sick friend. The cashier rang it up at about $4, and he explained how the manager of the store had just told him that it was $2. The manager was then called to the front, and instead of allowing him to have the juice for $2, like any other store would have done they still insisted on charging him the full price. The price was not clearly marked at all on the shelf, nor on the juice itself. The manager and the cashier continued to be outright rude with this gentleman, and continued to mock him loudly as he left to return the juice. The man continued to be very polite and never once was rude or disrespectful to these employees. In any other business when a price quote is given, it is the price that you are charged, especially when the price is not clearly marked as it should be. More importantly though I do not wish to buy my groceries from a place that is rude and I feel doesn't appreciate my business. Since then I have been shopping more at the Kroger on Monroe Street, and have found almost everything there to be about the same price, and in some cases even cheaper than Save-A-Lot. I would strongly recommend driving one more mile to Kroger, and getting good service than having to deal with the rude employees at Save A Lot.
