Businiess name:  Jeze Belles

Review content:
While I'll agree that the coffee at Jeze Belle's is great - espeically the latte - I have to disagree that the entertainment is much to brag about. When they first opened there were a number of local musicians that performed at the coffeehouse regularly. The variety was good and the quality great but, like most things in Newberry the "entertainment" began to be taken over by a couple people who decided who would perform and when. We used to go every Friday night until a local music store began holding "jams" there. The cacophany was horrible in that we were used to hearing a very good local musician on Friday evenings. We later learned that this musician had been more or less "uninvited" because of bigotry. The last few times we went the music was mediocre at best and the owners seemed more concerned with garnering points for the "Local Legends" contest or Opera House appearances than providing decent entertainment. Sorry, this place is just not my "cup of tea" although it had great potential when it began. Personally, I prefer to go to Columbia.
