Businiess name:  George Clarke House Bed & Breakfast
Review by:  Vicki H.
Review content:
Rooms from $135 per night. Each room has a private bath, TV, antique desk with phone and dataport, and many other (modern) amenities. Draped portieres doorways; period lighting. Furnished with authentic antiques and period pieces, but sturdy enough for your use. Every morning the hostess, often dressed in Victorian costume, will greet you and show you to an elegantly set table. Breakfasts are sumptuous affairs, as they were in George's time. Delicacies such as creme brulee' French toast, or waffles with Grand Marnier strawberries, are served on delicate china with gleaming silver and sparkling crystal. Jeeves the butler will be in service most weekends. A luxurious bed and breakfast experience at a moderate price for the vacationer with a taste for all things Victorian. Beautiful, elegant, time travel in the heart of the Bluegrass. They do appear to have a few cats, so if you have allergies to cats, it is something to be aware of. 10% discount for active UK Alumni Association members. Discounts for artists exhibiting at Woodland Arts Fair (Available Aug 19, 2005 – Aug 21, 2005) . Wedding & Anniversary special: FREE rose, champagne, fresh flowers and gourmet chocolates to your room when you spend 2 nights there. Also discounts for firefighters, law enforcement, corporate, and equine industry trainers and exhibitors.
