Review content:
We stumbled upon this bakery as we walked through the town of Lexington on a trip. We had our two daughters (under 2) with us and dreaded taking them in here for lunch. Boy, were we surprised!
There are toys hidden away in baskets under the bench with pillows. There were children's books and puzzles also! One wall was a chalkboard. But, the place didn't feel like a children's café AT ALL. There were many 50-something-aged locals eating pastries and chatting with the employees.
We got a kids PB&J on wheat and it was about $2.50! The daily special was an amazing turkey sandwich with apple chutney, mustard, cucumbers, and lettuce on foccacia. It was about $5 and came with a delicious black bean salad (or chips).
We did not eat any desserts but next time would get some to take with us. The couple next to us ordered a salad and it looked incredible. It was big, fresh, and had cashews on it. Wish this place was near me.
