After living in Richmond for 9 years, I have tried many many hair salons. I've tried upper class salons and cheaper walk-in salons. I've always walked out unhappy for one reason or another. They didn't do what I wanted them to, they cut my bangs really short, they cut my hair really short and the list goes on. Then I complimented a co-worker on her hair one day. She told me that I should try her hairdresser and since I was in desperate need of a haircut (it was going on a year since I had the nerve to go anywhere), I made an appointment that week. I was delighted that they had an opening for me and my daughter that very Saturday! I find that very unusual. I showed up that morning with my reluctant daughter who was afraid they would chop all of her hair off. Jay saw us right away. I went first since my daughter was so nervous. Jay did a great job! She spent a lot of time with each one of us, she knew the latest styles and trends and listened to everything both of us had to say. She gave her advice but was completely fine with us taking her advice or not. I will definitely keep going there. My daughter has been begging for us to go back so I need to make an appointment as we speak. If you've had a hard time finding a great place in Richmond, this is the hair salon for you.
