Review content:
When you first walk into Augustine's you'd never think you'd find all which awaits inside. From the outside, it seems almost mundane; a typical store front display, old sign with the business name, etc. but after passing the first of two doors anyone who has been there can tell you the shift in the energy is tremendous.
When I went in there for the first time, I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but simply went out of curiosity. I'm happy I did.
I was greeted by a younger man behind the counter, who appeared to be gathering herbs from different jars and placing them into a small pouch. The fact he had a black candle burning made me feel a bit nervous, but I didn't let it get to me much. I later found out he was creating a charm or mojo bag for someone in serious need of protection.
I responded to the guys "hello" with a smile and decided to scout thier library section which to my surprize, eventhough a bit small, had everything from spell books to bibles, like the first review stated, as well as books on a variety of other metaphysical and occult subjects. I ended up getting a book on psychic development.
The atmosphere felt very calming yet there was something very direct and powerful which made me feel a bit strage, even after having been greeted and welcomed. That's when I turned around and discovered the store's altar. I couldn't believe I hadn't see it when I first went in, with all of the candles set upon it. It was quite a sight.
When I went up to pay for my book, I couldn't take my eyes off the wall behind the counter which was stocked with rows of oils and herbs. After chatting with the guy about my observations and what I thought about the store, I told him about certain issues I was having when it came to dating. It was then that he made me an oil which he added a mixture of lilac and rose to. He said to give it a try and to him updated on any new developments. Two weeks later I somehow aquired a newborn kitten and shortly after that, a new boyfriend (we've been dating for four months now); Go figure!
Since then, I've got to a few other botanicas and spiritual stores, but none like Augustine's Eternal Gifts. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for the real deal when it comes to quality spiritual products and services.
