Businiess name:  Aladdin's Natural Eatery

Aladdin’s Natural Eatery 646 Monroe Avenue Rochester, NY 585.442.5000 www.aladdinsnaturaleatery.com Being a former vegetarian, I appreciate cuisine that has a large selection of meatless offerings. I remember eating here a few years back on a visit and was anxious to try the restaurant again. I met my dining partner for lunch at the Aladdin’s on Monroe Avenue. I was surprised to realize this is a chain restaurant, with locations in Rochester, Syracuse and Ithaca. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere, allowing you to seat yourselves. The interior is bright and airy, with three levels to choose from. We winded our way upstairs and decided to sit outside the covered patio. While it was a bit noisy from the traffic on the street, the canopy was excellent to have when it started pouring out! Both my dining partner and I chose ice tea to drink. Many of the items looked perfect for lunch, but I was swayed by the mix of items in the Limone pasta ($8.95). You get a choice of pasta here and I thought the garlic pepper noodles would go perfect with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, spinach and feta. I was right! My only complaint was the pasta was a bit sticky and could of benefited being tossed in some oil. My dining partner ordered the gyro plate ($8.25). While he thought it a bit odd eating gyros in a salad, he felt it was quite tasty. The greens and lamb were topped with feta cheese, greek olives, scallions and dressing. Aladdin’s is a comfortable, reasonable place to try some good food. The service was friendly and the price is just right. Visit Eat Out Rochester http://eatoutrochester.blogspot.com/
