I actually went to the Stilo in San Mateo near Whole Foods, which doesn't have a listing yet. I just went to see Sam. I liked the salon, definitely a "salon" experience. Sam didn't have much in the way of suggestions to me, but he did listen to me very well and do exactly what I asked of him.
I was just salon shopping and many of them have their prices on their website. At $50 this was the cheapest salon haircut I could find (I used to pay $100 when I was working, and that is not uncommon -- I paid more than $50 at the Barberia and didn't like it as much as Stilo). And Sam spent so much time blow drying my hair, it was definitely worth the price. I would go again, and recommend it.
