Here’s a strange story...
I applied for an administrative position at Moose’s some years ago. I went through three interviews. After the last, they said, “you basically have the job, we just have to approve it 100% with one other person. Come to dinner tonight, bring a friend. It’s on us.” And so I did, proceeding to devour an incredible meal, on the house. I didn’t go crazy or anything. Just got what seemed reasonable – the morel pizza always comes to mind when I think of great SF Food – didn’t even get wine. Well, maybe I didn’t choose well, because after that meal, I never heard from them again. Not a call or an email or anything. I always wondered if that meal had been a test or who knows? Anyways, if you’ve got the money to blow (our meal was well over $100), this is a great place. Classic SF eating.
