Businiess name:  BJ's Wholesale Club

Review content:
I never joined BJ's because I thought the $45 yearly membership fee was too expensive. A friend of mine received coupons from BzzAgent to give to her friends for a free 3 month membership. Nowhere on the coupon were there restrictions about where it could or couldn't be used. I went to the desk to sign up and the lady said I couldn't use the coupon there, that it was for Long Island, NJ, etc. Then she said she would put in another code, took my picture, and handed me my card. I made my purchases and when I got my receipt, it says my membership expires on July 6th, which is much less than 3 months. I'm sure glad I didn't go there in August with a cart full of stuff and get extremely embarrased when my membership expired, thinking it was still good. Aside from the membership problem, I really don't understand why people pay the fee unless you have a huge family and need huge servings. I get better sales in my local store when they have a sale and I have coupons. I spent over $50 today and didn't come home with much. It was extremely crowded and took us 10 minutes just to get past the security check at the door. Maybe the BJ's in other cities are nice, but I was not impressed at all with this one. Edited to add that I got a call from their CS dept and they extended my free membership until the end of August, which was nice of them, so I changed my review to 2 stars for good customer service. I'm still not that impressed with the store. Maybe I'll change my mind when I go back and if I do, I'll edit my review again.
