My friends took me here over the weekend to celebrate my upcoming birthday, and it really was perfect for the occasion. I love the feel of Belden Alley, with it's twinkling fairy lights strung overhead and ample outdoor seating at every restaurant. Perfect for the warm weather we've been having right now. We arrived about 30 minutes early and the host was kind enough to seat us anyway, outdoors and under a heat lamp. We shared a pot of steamed mussels and clams, which is a signature dish at the restaurant. They have 6 or 7 types of broth you can choose have your mussels cooked in and the amount of seafood was very generous. I also enjoyed the appetizers we chose: potato wrapped scallops and tuna tartare, though I have to say portions were tiny for the price. Frites were rather tasteless and the complementary bread was too hard for my liking. But the entrees we tried, both grilled fish, were also perfectly cooked and sauced. The trio of sorbets for dessert were a bit icy, but still nice. Even with the minor disappointments, we still really enjoyed ourselves. This is definitely a wonderful place to spend a leisurely night with a bottle of wine and some great seafood. The restaurant's website is actually: http://ploufsf.com/
