Review content:
The Hi Rise Bakery in Huron Village does a booming, informal weekend brunch business. I usually end up with an egg and cheese sandwich for which somehow I'm willing to pay $6. What can I say? It's on a potato roll baked on the premises, with either ham, egg and cheese or spinach, egg and bacon. And it is really, really good. The coffee and espresso are pretty tasty here and the baked goods are hard to resist. There's one long table where you'll rub elbows with your neighbors, plus some fiercely desired tables for two. If I'm feeling anxious about finding a seat I just won't come here but the call of the egg and cheese is pretty strong. They close at 3 and are marginally less crowded after 2:30.
